How we first met… *
We were able to meet our soulmate at the age of 5 years old in first grade. Some call this the invisible string theory: a concept based on the idea that two people destined to be together are connected by an unseen, unbreakable bond that will eventually bring them together, even if they are currently apart. This theory suggests God keeps these two people apart until timing is right. This may be true because we did not see each other again for the next 10 years.

10+ years later after elementary school, we were united back together again at Kankakee High School. Ultimate fate had Skylar holding Brandon’s hand at the school’s blood drive. From there, we always passed each other with smiles and hugs in the hallway. We even took a picture together at our senior prom. We didn’t know that wouldn't be our last time wearing a suit and a white dress together.

In true Midwestern fashion, our first date coincidentally ended up being on Sweetest Day. In both of our adventurous spirits, we went to Scene75 in Romeoville to go Go-Karting, swing at the batting cages, and play mini golf. We had many more adventures to go.

We officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in December, the month of joy. We spent our time on many adventurous dates, trips exploring the nation, and making countless memories that made our love grow stronger.

After months of planning, Brandon shocked Skylar with the most be beautiful surprise during her birthday weekend. Our friends and families are gathered in unison to support our love. Brandon got on one knee to ask for Skylar’s hand in marriage and she said yes!
